Welcome to First Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten!
First Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten provides high quality, play based, faith filled, early childhood opportunities for children to grow and thrive. Our goal is to support children ages 2 to 6 years in feeling comfortable, confident and joyful at school through play, exploration, creativity and connection with their peers and teachers. We are a ministry of First Lutheran Church of Richmond Beach and have served this community for the past 48 years.
We are now enrolling for the 2020-21 school year. In these difficult times, we are planning for this school year with every consideration taken for the health and safety of our students, families and staff. For more information or to schedule a virtual tour, please email email@example.com. Thank you for considering First Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten as a partner in your child’s early education.

“Play is the highest form of research.”Albert Einstein
Research shows that play is the most effective way for children to learn.
When we play together at our school, we are learning:
Social Skills to help us empathize, share and build friendships
How to recognize and regulate our emotions
Gross Motor Skills to help us balance and feel in control of our bodies
Creative Expression and feeling proud of our effort
How to work together to solve problems
Fine Motor Skills to strengthen our hands and prepare us for writing
Growth Mindset and that we grow every time we try
Literacy Skills to help us love reading and recognize familiar letters/words
Math Skills such as counting and sorting
How to explore, experiment and construct with curiosity in our world
That God’s love is there for all of us
At FLRB Preschool & Kindergarten, we utilize the play-based approach outlined in The Creative Curriculum for Preschool by Dodge, Colker and Heroman. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about this and the other curriculum we use.
